Call for Papers - Special Issue on Engineering and Technology in Response to COVID-19

COVID-19 has affected all aspects of life of the global population. It has created enormous challenges for scientists and engineers to develop engineering and technological breakthroughs that could contribute to this pressing situation. International Journal of Technology is currently inviting manuscripts related to COVID-19 with a focus on how engineering and technology could contribute to the global pandemic mitigation and to promote resilience during this challenging time. Manuscripts are invited in the forms of original research papers, review papers, case studies as well as position papers and project descriptions that seek to explore, develop and adapt various knowledge, methods, strategies, and interventions that could contribute to COVID-19 pandemic mitigation in various fields of engineering and technology.

Topics of interest may include but not limited to:

  • Engineering and technology knowledge and application to support the limitation of disease spread among the population
  • The role of big data, information technology and artificial intelligence in pandemic mitigation
  • Development of new and potential materials and processes related to medical procedures, health, and hygiene
  • Risk assessment and risk management related to pandemic mitigation
  • Industrial, service and logistic management and system to assist in coping with the pandemic
  • Adaptation of technology to promote physical distancing, remote working, and communication
  • Innovative design and prototypes to promote healthy habits and disease prevention in society

All manuscripts should be written in English and prepared in accordance with the guidelines of the journal.
